What better way to celebrate Labor Day weekend than by sweating my arse off? Yeah, I gots to work tomorrow, so my weekend will still be two freakin' days. So much for getting a break, eh? But wait, the shop is air-conditioned, so what sweat might I be talking about?

YES! With the outfit complete and three high-cap magazines on standby to fill my rifle and suck my battery dry, I'm ready for a hot and humid day of practice skirmishing after I get out of the usual short day of work this Saturday. Once I order up my name and division patches, I'll be an official member of one of the local airsoft teams, the Pasco Liberation Army [link], and it's never too early to start training up.

As for the gear itself, I'm really gettin' pissed at my battery; the connection goes out randomly and I just know it's gonna get me killed in a close-quarters duel sooner or later. The team is placing an order thru a good wholesale website soon, tho, and I might have 'em add a battery or two into the mix for me. Otherwise, the gun is great, and my Army-surplus camo is some of the finest stuff this country has ever made.

Now, bring on the action!

*EDIT* Nevermind... got there just as Ty's parents were kickin' the lot of us out, so I didn't get to enjoy any skirmishing. But then, they get together every week, so maybe I'll be able to spend a regular full Saturday with 'em next week...

In more serious news, my heart goes out to my ol' buddy ~ruik and his friend ~basilfaery, who recently lost a close friend and almost lost a teacher to a lightning strike this Wednesday (story here- [link]). My heart and prayers are with them and their friends in this painful time. I hope anyone who reads this extends a kind word or two as well.
